Jason Snead, Executive Director of Honest Elections Project, released the following statement:
“Kansas rightfully banned pre-filed absentee ballot applications. The left-wing groups that push these error-filled applications create a nightmare for voters and election administration officials. It is irresponsible to allow this practice to continue and Kansas was wise to ban it. Voters are more than capable of requesting and filling out an absentee ballot on their own and the results are better when they do. The Kansas court in this case is the only district court to ever hold that bans on pre-filled applications violate the law. It is our hope that the Tenth Circuit will overturn the Kansas court and uphold this commonsense reform that keeps it easy to vote and hard to cheat.”
