Jason Snead, Executive Director of Honest Elections Project, released the following statement:
“The recent decision of a federal judge to uphold key portions of Georgia’s Election Integrity Act is a win for every Georgia voter. This legal challenge is yet another instance of the left’s continued abuse of the courts to strike down basic ballot safeguards. This ruling affirms that states have the right to set rules that preserve the integrity of elections, including banning vote trafficking and electioneering at polling places. Unfortunately, the court also chose to embrace a fringe legal theory to strike down a commonsense requirement that mail voters write their correct birthdates on their ballots, an error I hope will be corrected on appeal.
“As Democrats, including President Joe Biden, lambasted the Georgia voting law as ‘Jim Crow 2.0’, I personally traveled to Atlanta on Election Day in 2022 to witness an election featuring record turnout. I saw no lines and no voters suffering for lack of left-wing activists giving them food and gift cards as they walked in to vote. The Georgia Election Integrity Act makes it easy to vote and hard to cheat, full stop.”
