Jason Snead, Executive Director of Honest Elections Project, released the following statement:

“At the eleventh hour, the Biden Administration sued to force Virginia to put self-identified noncitizens back on its voter rolls. Fortunately, the Supreme Court halted this absurd attempt to weaken election integrity. The Court is right to allow the Youngkin Administration to follow state law and remove self-identified noncitizens from the rolls.

“State officials have a duty to keep their voter rolls up to date and prevent noncitizens from voting. In recent years, there have been proven instances in states across the country showing noncitizens can and do register and vote. Every illegal ballot disenfranchises a lawful voter. Congratulations to Governor Youngkin and Attorney General Jason Miyares for enforcing Virginia law and safeguarding the integrity of Virginia elections.”

Earlier this week, Honest Elections Project filed an amicus brief in support of Virginia, which can be found here.
