Alexandria, VA – Honest Elections Project filed an amicus brief urging the Supreme Court to stay the decision from the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals prohibiting the state of Virginia from removing self-identified noncitizens from its voter rolls.
Jason Snead, Executive Director of Honest Elections Project, released the following statement:
“The law in Virginia is crystal clear: if a registered voter tells Virginia that he or she is not a citizen, Virginia may remove them from the voter rolls. Governor Glenn Youngkin’s effort to follow the law and keep the Commonwealth’s voter rolls clean is commonsense. The Biden-Harris Justice Department is working with left-wing activists not only to block this effort, but to actually force Virginia to put known noncitizens on the voter rolls. Only the Supreme Court can restore sanity and the rule of law, and I hope the Court intervenes and upholds the integrity of our elections.”
