WASHINGTON, DC – Jason Snead, executive director of the Honest Elections Project, issued a statement applauding Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger for launching investigations into four voter registration organizations over alleged efforts to register deceased, ineligible, or non-resident people to vote in the upcoming Georgia Senate runoffs:
“Secretary Raffensperger’s investigation into potential election fraud in Georgia deserves the support of every voter. One hopes there is no truth to the allegation that voter registration groups are openly committing—or enticing others to commit—election fraud. But promises alone are not enough to give voters the secure elections they deserve, especially when progressive leaders have called for an exodus of likeminded voters to drown out the voices of genuine Georgians solely to secure power in Washington. We have already learned the high price of doubt in the outcome of an election. That’s why credible allegations of election fraud should never be ignored.”
