Jason Snead Executive Director of Honest Elections Project:
“Missouri’s rejection of ranked choice voting is a win for free and fair elections. Out-of-state special interests poured millions of dark money dollars into a scheme to permanently reshape the state’s elections, but failed to collect enough signatures to make the November ballot. The truth is, no amount of money can hide what ranked choice voting is: an unwise policy that complicates voting and risks disenfranchising voters. I applaud Missourians for rejecting this initiative and sticking with commonsense elections that make it easy to vote and hard to cheat.”
