Jason Snead, Executive Director of Honest Elections Project, released the following statement:
“Honest Elections Project Legal Policy Director and Texas native Jacqueline Doyer provided testimony today at a hearing in the Texas Senate Committee on State Affairs about her experience auditing elections. Doyer laid out the many benefits election audits provide for election integrity and public confidence in outcomes, and also detailed the issues that arise due to countywide voting jurisdictions. At the end of the day, transparency in the election process boosts voter confidence in the system, which benefits everyone.”
A copy of Doyer’s full prepared remarks can be found here.
