“Yesterday, Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court ignored the plain language of the state constitution in order to uphold the 2019 law that allows for universal mail-in voting. This is only the latest blow to the rule of law in Pennsylvania. A recent federal court ruling to ignore state law and count undated ballots has prompted doubts about what election laws are in effect, and has been appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court. This is the price of the left’s relentless anti-democracy campaign to force states to weaken their voting laws. Left-wing dark money operatives like Marc Elias want courts and bureaucrats to rewrite election laws for partisan gain. Pennsylvania is proof that letting rogue courts change our election laws is a recipe for chaos.”
