“What we’re beginning to see around the country is another round of crisis exploitation in our electoral process. Activists and officials are once again demanding sweeping changes to the way we vote. Even as states like Georgia and Arizona bolster the integrity of elections by expanding early voting opportunities and implementing popular, common-sense election safeguards like voter ID and proof of citizenship, many are looking for ways to roll back these gains. But these measures only make it easier to vote and harder to cheat. Clearly, there are other options to mitigate supply change challenges than haphazard—and paper-intensive—all-mail elections. Exploiting this situation to weaken election security would set a terrible precedent for other states across the nation.”
